Riley Minkoff is an associate on the firm's litigation team, handling a variety of matters, including businesses and individuals in corporate dispute, employment, and personal injury matters. Before coming to SSCSB, Riley worked in special education law, advising school districts and other local educational agencies on state and federal compliance. She also worked for the City of San Diego as a community development specialist for the Office of Immigrant Affairs.
Riley received her B.A. in Political Science and Spanish from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania, before she realized she was not a fan of the cold weather and came back to get her J.D. at University of San Diego School of Law and her Master’s in Peace and Justice Studies at University of San Diego Kroc School of Peace Studies. While at University of San Diego School of Law, she was the Managing Articles Editor for the San Diego International Law Journal, the Co-Chair of the Name and Gender Marker Change Clinic, and an editor for the California Regulatory Law Reporter.
Riley has previously worked in the immigration field and at multiple levels of local and national government. She has worked on city, state, and national immigration policy, and currently volunteers with the Name & Gender Marker Change Clinic and the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program as a supervising attorney.
Outside of work, Riley enjoys trying new restaurants, traveling abroad, cheering on the LA Kings and Tottenham Hotspur FC, and taking care of her special needs cat, Fish.
